Below are some of the most commonly asked questions we come across. If the question you have is not on this list do not hesitate to reach out to us through the contact page.
How do I measure a mobile home door?
If you have a screen door attached the best way is from the outside. Measure just the screen door, do not include the frame or the flange in your measurement. After getting the measurement, add two inches to the width and one to the height. This should give you the correct measurement. If you don’t have a screen door, the next best way is to measure just the door frame from top to bottom and side to side. Any measurement you get should come in even increments. For example, some of the more common sizes are 32×76 and 34×76.
Can I replace my mobile home door with a regular door?
In short, no. A mobile home door is smaller than a door used for a standard home and will either need to be cut down to fit, voiding any hope of a warranty, or you will need to cut the door frame of your home to allow it room to fit making it much more than a simple DIY project.
What is the stuff under a mobile home called?
The black cloth under your mobile home is called underbelly or underpinning. It helps provide insulation to your home and keep out unwanted pests. If you see large holes, or pieces missing, you can purchase repair kits or buy more for a full replacement.
Will mobile home parts work for my RV?
Like the difference in mobile homes and standard homes, an RV also has unique parts. To make it simple, no mobile home parts will not work in RVs.
How do I measure my mobile home windows?
From the inside of the home, measure the rough opening from top to bottom and side to side. Don’t measure the window itself or the window frame.
How do I measure skirting?
To accurately estimate how much skirting you would need for your mobile home, we would need the dimensions of your trailer and the height of all four corners. You could also click the “skirting calculator” tab to get an estimated amount of material for your home.
